Dear Friends,

We’re excited to share news from the DEFINITIVE China DC Happy Hour that took place in Washington, DC, co-sponsored by US-China Strong and WeChat.

Held at Eighteenth Street Lounge, the event brought together nearly 300 professionals, students, organizations and scholars for a China-exclusive networking experience. Groups in attendance included the National Association of Asian American Professionals, the China-US Forum, alumni groups from Peking University to Shanghai Jiaotong University, and many more. Fifty lucky raffle winners also went home with WeChat-branded gear, including travel pillows and phone cases!

Addressing event attendees, US-China Strong COO Morgan Jones said, “Our three initiatives encourage our future leaders to learn Mandarin, study in China and like many of you here tonight, pursue China-related careers. US-China Career Connection supports professional development in this important field!”

Kaiser Kuo and Jeremy Goldkorn, the hosts of the popular Sinica podcast – a weekly discussion of current affairs in China – recorded a live session from the event and took questions from the audience.
