Title: Resident Assistant

Organization: Schwarzman Scholars, Tsinghua University

Location: Beijing, China


Resident Assistants (RAs) are responsible for helping a cohort of Schwarzman Scholars adjust to their day-to-day lives in Beijing. They meet regularly with students, serving as advisors and mentors, and communicating important program information to them. RAs update the health and safety team regularly regarding students in their cohort. They also participate in and help organize events or excursions from time to time. The RA job is a part-time job; RAs are expectedto be actively and successfully engaged in their own academic or career pursuits in Beijing while serving and living on-site as a Schwarzman Scholars RA.


Bachelor of Arts
Strong foundation in Chinese language and culture.
Familiarity with Beijing and the surrounding environs.
Familiarity with Tsinghua University is desirable.
Concurrently pursuing professional or research interests while serving in the RA capacity.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Excellent organizational skills and time management skills, with a strong ability to juggle multiple priorities.
A demonstrated sensitivity to student needs and cultural differences.
A commitment to education and study abroad.
