Eugene Huang, acting CEO, US-China Strong Foundation
“I’m proud to lead US-China Strong as it searches for a new, permanent CEO to guide it through this exciting period of growth and expansion,” said Huang. “Together, we will continue to promote China study abroad and Mandarin language learning – as well as stronger US-China relations and bilateral competition between these critical global players.”
Huang, who has served on the USCS board since its inception, brings years of experience in both government and the private sector. He most recently was an executive at American Express, and he previously served as a White House Fellow, Senior Advisor to Secretary of the Treasury Henry “Hank” Paulson, and as Virginia’s Secretary of Technology under Governor Mark Warner.
Huang will join George Lee, the Chairman of our Board, to lead the Board’s CEO Search Committee while Travis Tanner, President; Morgan Jones, COO; and Avonda Fogan, Special Assistant, will continue to propel the Foundation forward. Please join us in welcoming Huang as USCS’s acting CEO and stay tuned for updates about the Foundation and its CEO search.
As always, thanks for your support.
